SLA Credit Policy

Enterprise SLA includes credits-back guarantees for uptime misses. Specific credit tiers, claim windows, and calculation methodology are defined in individual Order Forms and Master Subscription Agreements — not publicly documented. The Enterprise MSA references SLA terms but defers specifics to the Order Form.

Netlify SLA: What You Need to Know

Netlify guarantees 99.99% uptime measured as platform uptime on the enterprise network tier (high-performance edge network). This commitment applies exclusively to Enterprise plan customers — other tiers have no contractual uptime guarantee.

Based on DevHelm's continuous monitoring, Netlify currently shows a 30-day measured uptime of 99.98%. This is below their published SLA commitment of 99.99%, which may trigger service credit eligibility.

What's Covered (and What Isn't)

Netlify's SLA specifically covers platform uptime on the enterprise network tier (high-performance edge network). It explicitly excludes: Free, Personal, and Pro plans use the standard network and have no uptime SLA, no guaranteed response times, and no service credit mechanism.. This means outages in excluded components don't count toward SLA credits.

Impact on Your Application

At 99.98% uptime, you can expect approximately 1h 44m of cumulative downtime per year from Netlify alone. If your application depends on additional services, their independent failure probabilities compound — making dependency monitoring essential for maintaining your own SLA commitments.

Monitoring Methodology

DevHelm tracks Netlify's official status page continuously and aggregates component-level status data into uptime percentages. Data is refreshed every 5 minutes. Uptime is calculated as the percentage of time all components report operational status.
