Scope
Live Applications (websites, applications, databases) in a live environment on Kinsta Hosting Plans
Measurement
Uptime Guarantee = percentage of time Live Applications are available during each Monthly Billing Period. Downtime = period when Live Applications are unavailable or inaccessible over HTTP or other Kinsta-provided network connections, calculated from Kinsta monitoring (concurrent multi-app downtime does not multiply duration).
Exclusions
Maintenance Period (daily 2–5 am local data-center time); emergency maintenance; scheduled outages; force majeure; traffic/requests exceeding plan capabilities; customer breach; customer machine access problems; customer misuse/configuration/code; changes by parties other than Kinsta
Not covered
Staging environments; monitoring blind spots (basic auth, Cloudflare under-attack mode, bot blocking kinsta-bot, geo-blocks) may prevent Kinsta from detecting outages but do not waive SLA if site is actually down

Kinsta SLA: What You Need to Know
Kinsta guarantees 99.9% (default) / 99.99% (custom) uptime measured as live applications (websites, applications, databases) in a live environment on kinsta hosting plans. This commitment applies exclusively to All WordPress and static site Hosting Plans (default 99.9%), Application and database Hosting Plans (default 99.9%), Custom / Enterprise Hosting Plans with 99.99% on Order Form plan customers — other tiers have no contractual uptime guarantee.
Based on DevHelm's continuous monitoring, Kinsta currently shows a 30-day measured uptime of 100.00%. This meets their published SLA commitment of 99.9% (default) / 99.99% (custom).
What's Covered (and What Isn't)
Kinsta's SLA specifically covers live applications (websites, applications, databases) in a live environment on kinsta hosting plans. It explicitly excludes: Staging environments; monitoring blind spots (basic auth, Cloudflare under-attack mode, bot blocking kinsta-bot, geo-blocks) may prevent Kinsta from detecting outages but do not waive SLA if site is actually down. This means outages in excluded components don't count toward SLA credits.
Impact on Your Application
At 100.00% uptime, you can expect approximately 17m of cumulative downtime per year from Kinsta alone. If your application depends on additional services, their independent failure probabilities compound — making dependency monitoring essential for maintaining your own SLA commitments.
Monitoring Methodology
DevHelm tracks Kinsta's official status page continuously and aggregates component-level status data into uptime percentages. Data is refreshed every 5 minutes. Uptime is calculated as the percentage of time all components report operational status.
