MongoDB Cloud SLA
99.995% uptime guarantee (Dedicated (M10+) plan only)
Official SLA Commitment
Applies to
Dedicated (M10+) plan only
Scope
Monthly uptime for production Atlas clusters (M10 tier and above)
Measurement
Monthly Uptime Percentage = (total minutes in calendar month - minutes of Unavailability) / total minutes in calendar month × 100. Unavailability means the cluster is not accessible for read or write operations.
Exclusions
Free (M0) and Flex clusters, beta offerings, customer-caused issues, force majeure, scheduled maintenance, underlying cloud provider outages (SLA does not cover the cloud platform itself)
Not covered
Free tier (M0), Flex tier, beta features. The SLA explicitly does not cover the underlying AWS/Azure/GCP infrastructure.

MongoDB Cloud SLA: What You Need to Know
MongoDB Cloud guarantees 99.995% uptime measured as monthly uptime for production atlas clusters (m10 tier and above). This commitment applies exclusively to Dedicated (M10+) plan customers — other tiers have no contractual uptime guarantee.
Based on DevHelm's continuous monitoring, MongoDB Cloud currently shows a 30-day measured uptime of —. Uptime data is still being collected for a complete assessment.
What's Covered (and What Isn't)
MongoDB Cloud's SLA specifically covers monthly uptime for production atlas clusters (m10 tier and above). It explicitly excludes: Free tier (M0), Flex tier, beta features. The SLA explicitly does not cover the underlying AWS/Azure/GCP infrastructure.. This means outages in excluded components don't count toward SLA credits.
Impact on Your Application
Once sufficient monitoring data is collected, this section will show projected annual downtime. If your application depends on additional services, their independent failure probabilities compound — making dependency monitoring essential for maintaining your own SLA commitments.
Monitoring Methodology
DevHelm tracks MongoDB Cloud's official status page continuously and aggregates component-level status data into uptime percentages. Data is refreshed every 30 seconds. Uptime is calculated as the percentage of time all components report operational status.
