Includes
- 3 webhook inboxes
- 1 email domain
- 300 events a month
- 3-day history
Give every test its own inbox. Wait for the email, finish the flow with its code or link, and run the same test in production.
AUTOMATE
Give each test a fresh address, trigger the email, and wait. One call returns it with the code and links already pulled out, from TypeScript, Python, the CLI or plain HTTP.
INSPECT
Open any email to see exactly what your users get: the HTML and text body, every header, and the codes and links we pulled out.
CAPABILITIES
Everything an email test needs, on an assigned domain that works from your first request.
FLOWS
If a user waits for an email to get in, a test should too. These are the flows teams cover first.
PLATFORM
Run the same signup test as a browser check every few minutes, with email and webhook inboxes, alerts and AI triage on one account.
BUILD OR BUY
A shared mailbox or a public inbox works for one test. It breaks once tests run in parallel, in CI and in production.
PRICING
Events are emails and webhook requests combined. Add Testing to any monitoring plan, Free included.
Includes
Everything in Free, plus
Everything in Developer, plus

FAQ
What teams ask before they move their email tests to DevHelm.
Still deciding?
We’ll set up your first email test with you on a call, and answer the rest.
Your workspace gets its own domain, like acme-4j4n.devhelmmail.com. Any address on it is an inbox, so there is nothing to create first. The SDK’s address helper gives every test run a fresh, empty one.
It calls wait on the address, optionally filtered by subjectContains. The call returns the email as soon as it arrives, with one-time codes in otp and links, with their text, in links.
The wait call returns a 408 when your timeout runs out, so the test fails with a clear reason instead of hanging.
Any of them. Use the TypeScript SDK from Playwright or Vitest, the Python SDK from pytest, the devhelm CLI in a shell step, or the REST API from anything else.
Yes, on the Team plan and above. Add an MX record for a subdomain, such as test.acme.dev, and its mail arrives in DevHelm.
Every member and API key in your workspace, in the dashboard or through the API. Anyone can send to the address; only your workspace can read.
Every email received and every webhook request captured counts as one event. Email and webhook inboxes share the same allowance.
Each plan sets a window: 3 days on Free, 7 on Developer, 30 on Team, 90 on Business, and up to 365 days on Enterprise, or a custom period.
The app and database run on DigitalOcean in New York. Everything travels over TLS and is encrypted at rest by the hosting provider. We don’t hold compliance certifications yet, and we answer security questionnaires directly.
No. Inboxes only receive. To test how your app handles incoming mail, inject a test message through the API.
Yes. A browser check can run the same signup test every few minutes and alert you when the email doesn’t arrive.
300 test events a month free, with webhook inboxes on the same plan.
