Opsgenie SLA: What You Need to Know

Opsgenie guarantees 99.9% uptime measured as monthly uptime percentage for the opsgenie alerting service. This commitment applies to all customers.

Based on DevHelm's continuous monitoring, Opsgenie currently shows a 30-day measured uptime of 99.70%. This is below their published SLA commitment of 99.9%, which may trigger service credit eligibility.

What's Covered (and What Isn't)

Opsgenie's SLA specifically covers monthly uptime percentage for the opsgenie alerting service. It explicitly excludes: Free plan support is limited to community/email during business hours. SLA commitment applies to all paid plans.. This means outages in excluded components don't count toward SLA credits.

Impact on Your Application

At 99.70% uptime, you can expect approximately 26h 13m of cumulative downtime per year from Opsgenie alone. If your application depends on additional services, their independent failure probabilities compound — making dependency monitoring essential for maintaining your own SLA commitments.

Monitoring Methodology

DevHelm tracks Opsgenie's official status page continuously and aggregates component-level status data into uptime percentages. Data is refreshed every 5 minutes. Uptime is calculated as the percentage of time all components report operational status.
