It affected customers using the Informed Design Web App, Informed Design for Revit, and the Informed Design API in the US East region. ‌ **Impacted Services** * Informed Design Web App: generating outputs, US region * Informed Design for Revit: generating outputs, including Revit family outputs for variants, US region * Informed Design API: generating outputs, US region ‌ **Root Cause** * A database authentication error stopped the services that process output requests from completing them, so requests stayed in Pending. Autodesk is still confirming what triggered the error. * Autodesk deployed a fix that moved these services to a different database connection and lets customers regenerate outputs that stayed in Pending. Autodesk confirmed that output generation was restored ‌ **Autodesk Actions** Autodesk has completed a post-incident analysis of the event and identified actions to be taken. These include the following: * Changed how output requests are handled so that a request that can't finish is marked as failed instead of staying in Pending. * Improvements to monitoring alerts for failed outputs so that similar problems are detected sooner. * Autodesk is continuing to investigate what triggered the authentication error. ‌ Thank you for your patience and understanding.
