Postmortem—

**AUTODESK EVENT ANALYSIS** **Incident Number:** #COE-INC156569 **Incident Date:** October 09, 2026 ‌ **Summary** On October 09, 2026, between 02:03 AM PDT and 03:23 AM PDT, Autodesk experienced a service disruption that impacted customers using BIM 360 Docs, Forma Data Management, Revit Cloud Worksharing and Desktop Connector in the European Union region. During this time, customers were unable to create files and folders, and some were unable to open, rename, upload and synch files. ‌ **Impacted Services** * BIM 360 Docs * Forma Data Management * Revit Cloud Worksharing * Desktop Connector ‌ **Root Cause** * A configuration change to the request limits on a file, and folder service caused some requests to be declined. * A protective safeguard in Docs then temporarily paused other related requests, which extended the impact from folder operations to creating, opening, renaming and syncing files. * Autodesk reverted the configuration change and confirmed that the affected services had recovered by 03:23 AM PDT. ‌ **Autodesk Actions** Autodesk has completed a post-incident analysis of the event and identified actions to be taken. These include the following: * Autodesk is reviewing how the protective safeguard in Docs is applied so that a problem with one operation does not affect unrelated operations. * Autodesk is reviewing the volume of folder requests against the current request limits to ensure they are set appropriately. * Autodesk is adding alerts that detect sustained request failures earlier, so issues can be addressed before customers are affected. ‌ Thank you for your patience and understanding.
